X-300A PROCESS MONITORING BUILDING (COMPUTER BUILDING)
The X-300A Process Monitoring Building, formerly known as the “Computer Building,” is located just west of the circular-domed X-300 building. The building originally housed the Cascade Automatic Data Processing (CADP) and the central processing unit (CPU) for tracking plant processing with electronic monitoring equipment.
Currently, the building is in use by the Radiation Protection group for the storage of emergency response equipment, but it is awaiting demolition. There is an L-shaped concrete block addition on the west half of the southern façade. The main building has one entry located on the north side with a metal door and the addition has two metal entry doors on the west side and one inset in the south side. The main building has approximately 1,400 square feet of floor space.
